No additional research or articles are used for this assignment.
Analysis and Critique create 2-3 paragraphs engaging in an analysis and critique
of the article. See your textbook for some of the questions you can use to prompt
writing for that paragraph. You will demonstrate your ability to analyze the writers
purpose, audience, use of reason, and argumentative strategies. This is a
rhetorical analysis so you are engaging with the writers style and techniques in
writing.
Introduction and conclusion are built into first and last paragraphs but are not
separate entities.
This assignment is between 1 – 2 pages in length. It should be (approx.) 500-
550 words not counting your header information on the first page.
Typed, double spaced, a regular 12pt font, 1-inch margins, text left justified, no
extra spaces between paragraphs, indent to indicate a new paragraph, first page
identifying information as covered in class, include section number.
You will need to use citations throughout your essay. For the latest edition of MLA
standards, please see the handout from the library.
