Current Event Assignment on Religion

The current event assignment is 500 words.
Find a news article that discusses religion from the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal. A news article is preferable, but you may also choose to write about an editorial or opinion piece. Do not use a video or an advertisement for this assignment.
In the assignment, you must (1) summarize and (2) respond to the article, explaining why it is relevant to the class.
Be sure to cite the article by providing the author, title, date, and the name of the newspaper.
Please write in complete sentences and full, coherent paragraphs.
