Type the paraphrase and summary in a Microsoft Word document. Label which part is the paraphrase and which part is the summary. Use MLA format with a signal phrase at the beginning and an in-text/parenthetical citation at the end of both the paraphrase and the summary. For now, you do not need to add a Works Cited page.
REFLECT. Read the quotation from Barbara Jordans speech on page 544 of the textbook. First, write an appropriate paraphrase of the quotation; then write an appropriate summary.
