Good morning, this is a reflection essay assignment, I have 5 questions about this course I have to answer I just need assistance putting them together. No outside references is required. I will send further assignment details uploaded. 5 questions will be displayed below, Thank you! Also, this assignment is mandatory only 2 pages can’t go over.
1) What was the hardest assignment for you to write, personally, and why?
The hardest assignment for me to write this semester, personally going back to unit 6 was the Issue Selection and Preliminary Argument Statement assignment. Why? Reason being for me it was difficult to find the right topic that will cause controversy or a great debate to form a sold argument. Also, the fact that I’m so use to writing with I as I’m the one telling the story but forget when putting a argument together writing in first person is not as necessary.
2) What do you think was the most rewarding skill or tool you have learned about writing this semester and why?
The most rewarding skill/tool I have learned this semester.
That you can’t learn to write overnight. For me, Writing things I truly love to write, makes writing easy. But writing things that others will equally love is what true writing. I gained the knowledge of editing/revising my work. Not to mention I also, picked up how to check my own work for plagiarism and putting together references from scratch.
Although as a writer I’m always a student, and a reader of the course. But, a tip I received in time I will gradually begin to earn the respect of words, apart from my core audience.
3) Which essay assignment was your favorite? Least favorite?
My favorite assignment this semester was back in unit 2 controversial issue assignment. Because for me it was a free writing assignment meaning I got to pick a issue that was deep/important to me and put a short essay together. My least favorite was unit 6 Issue Selection and Preliminary Argument Statement. Because it was difficult for me to find the right topic to build a compelling argument and also hard for me to write in second person.
4) What would you like to have spent more time learning/reviewing? This semester I would have liked to spend a little more time learning/reviewing. Unit 5 letter assignment, only issue was not getting the proper APA format down pack with writing a letter I was able to grasp what the assignment linteled but just was a little lost on the format that goes into the letter itself.
5) What have you learned about yourself not only as a writer but in general?
That I should have more confidence in my ability as a writer. That I may not be as good at it as I thought I was.
Writing good stuff is really hard. But, I can recognize something someone else has written as bad, but I can’t recognize something I’ve written as bad. But in general on a personal note. I learned about myself. I am an introvert and that’s normal. I used to think that I was a freak and a social outcast. That was the way I saw myself and other quiet people. I made the best effort to pretend that I was sociable, which was frustrating.I was so thankful that when I was surfing the internet one night, I somehow ended up on a page about introversion and extroversion, a theory developed by Carl Jung. Since that night, I have learned a lot about people’s personality. It has totally changed the way I see peopcixle and put me in a more comfortable zone.
