Reflect on your identity during your early adulthood (ages 18 – 25).

Please write a 200+ word post as a reply to
ONE (and only one) of the following
questions, which are both based on Chapter 7 (Early Adulthood). Please remember that your post is worth +25 points (2.5% of your overall class grade) and is due on midnight of 11/12

1. Reflect on your identity during your early
adulthood (ages 18 – 25). Drawing on James
Marcias’ ldentity Status theory, what part part of your identity (vocational/career,
romantic, political, religious, and/or other) had gone through identity achievement? Or were in moritorium? Or were in foreclosure? Or were experiencing diffusion? Talk about at least 2 aspects/parts of your identity and what status they were going through in your early adulthood.

2. This chapter discusses the benefits and
drawbacks of attending college. Reflect on your own college journey. Why are you attending college right now? What benefits and drawbacks are you experiencing from being in college? Do you believe that college will pay-off for you in terms of future employment/Career opportunities… or that you will experience more debt than benefits?

3. Do you believe that cohabitating with a
romantic partner before marriage (i.e., living together before marriage) is a good idea for young adults? Please discuss the benefits and drawbacks of cohabitating with examples (from either your own life, what you have seen other people go through, or even hypothetical
examples).
