This is a 2 page News and Views type report that summarizes the importance of a paper on a topic of interest that was published in the past year. I have selected the paper titled Exome sequencing in bipolar disorder identifies AKAP11 as a risk gene shared with schizophrenia (which I have attached). This should be written as a scientific news article. For examples, you can look at New and Views articles in journals such as Nature or Nature Genetics. The News and Views article should be designed to highlight the advances made in the research and the impact to the field, as well as any caveats and future work that will build on the findings. You should essentially summarize the article I provided and make it sound like a news article while adding additional scientific literature to support your writing. Only scientific literature should be used and cited (i.e. only papers published in scientific journals). This should be a PhD level paper.
