Prepare a response to an EEOC Charge of Discrimination as the HR Director for Company ABC.

Company ABC has workplace policies and procedures that prohibit discrimination, harassment and retaliation. It also has an ethics hotline and several people that can receive reports of discrimination. Jane Doe was hired on January 2, 2019 as a Sales Executive. Janes job requires her to join surgeons in the surgical theatre of hospitals to demonstrate equipment. The hospitals require persons in surgical theatres to be vaccinated. Jane refused to be vaccinated on account of her status as a vegan. The hospitals would not let Jane into the hospital to do her job, and there was nothing else for the Jane to do at the Company for which she is qualified. The Company asked Jane if she had any disabilities or religious objections to the COVID-19 vaccine. She replied that she is healthy and a vegan, and therefore, does not need the COVID-19 vaccine. The Company terminated Jane, and she has sued for religious discrimination indicating that she has a sincerely held religious belief that being a vegan will keep her healthy and safe.
