Assignment: prepare a 7-10 page, computer-generated, analytical/biographical book project on C. S. Lewis. THE COVER PAGE AND WORKS CITED PAGE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PAGE COUNT. You are to create a biography book about your author/illustrator.
Please write your book as if you are telling a story about your author/illustrator (C. S. Lewis). You may use any writing format to create your book (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, etc.). Make sure to include pictures on every page of your book (just like it would look if it were a children’s book). Use child-friendly language, humor, jokes, quotes, etc. to make your book interesting for children.
Include the following in your book project:
1. Biographical information such as date and place of birth and death; education, career, outstanding awards received, etc.
2. A summary of the writers importance to children’s literature.
3. A summary of the writer’s contributions to childrens literature.
4. Discussion of major themes, topics, subjects, techniques, and writing styles. Be sure to provide specific examples of the writers work to illustrate your point.
5. Discussion of the critical reception of the authors life, and works.
6. Discuss the influence the writer has had on other authors or illustrators.
7. A discussion of what you admired most about the writer. Explain in detail.
8. Be sure to document sources of reference.
9. Prepare a select bibliography/work cited page of primary and secondary sources.
10. MLA style should be followed.
11. In-text citation and documentation should be followed.
12. Be sure to double-space. 12-size font.
13. Include a picture of your author/illustrator on the Front Cover of your Book.
