During week six, you will have reviewed all of the major theories of crime for the course. The
goal of this review is to be able to apply this information to the practical approaches to
addressing criminal behavior.
For this assignment, students are asked to apply one or more theories to a practical crime issue
you are facing in your work (or for those not currently working in this field, a problem or crime
issue you hope to work toward solving in the future). In a 1-2 reflection paper:
1. Briefly describe the crime problem or application you are facing in your work.
2. Explain how at least one theory we have discussed in our course could be applied to this
crime problem.
3. Describe a new idea you can bring to your agency based on this theoretical application to
your crime problem.
