Must be in third person. It is a research paper about plastics and pollution in the ocean. I included all the sources to use and a sample paper for a guide.
After looking at a few papers the professor gave some advice which is:
” Include header in upper right corner of paper
Check the formatting of your heading for errors
Include a title that reflects the focus of your paper
Double space everything!
Indent first line of every paragraph
Include in-text citations! It is fine to sometimes mention the author or title of a work in your signal phrase that leads into a quote, but don’t do it every time! It is you responsibility to determine whether or not your articles have page numbers. You can determine this by opening the articles in PDF. If there are page numbers, you MUST include the relevant page number in your in-text citations.
Do NOT copy and paste your summaries into your paper! In this essay, you should be writing fresh material. You may use parts of your summaries here and there, but you should have three things in every body paragraph: your voice setting up the focus with a topic sentence or transition (if you have more than one par. on the same sub-topic); contextual information that is often paraphrased, 1-2 short, direct quotes with in-text citaitons.
Check your formatting of the Works Cited page. It should start at the top of a new page with the title, Works Cited, and should be double spaced (including in the citations) and in alphabetical order by author’s last name or title if it is an anonymous work.”
