PAST MEDICAL HISTORY: (a) Atrial Fibrillation ( AFib) 1 MONTH ago,
(b) hypertension x10 years ago,(c) CKD X5 Years, (d) Osteoarthritis.
CURRENT MEDICATIONS: (a) Digoxin 0.25mg every day (b) metoprolol xl 25mg every day (c) Warfarin 3mg every day (d) Automatic positive Airways Pressure (APAP) 650mg x3 a day. vital signs are normal, no smoking, no alcohol (e) Labs: sodium 138, chloride 99, INR 3.8, Digoxin 2.4, BUN 33, Creatinine 1.2, Potassium 4.0
TO PREPARE:
(1) Review Resources and consider the impact of potential pharmacotherapeutic for cardiovascular disorders.
(2) Review the case study assigned.
(3) Consider how changes in the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes might impact the patients recommended drug therapy.

(a) Select one of the Following Factors: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, behavior factors and explain how the factors you selected might influence the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes in the patient from the case study assigned.
(b) Describe how changes in the processes might impact the patients recommended drug therapy. Be specific and provide examples.
(c) Explain how you might improve the patient’s drug therapy plan and explain why you would make these recommended improvements.
