I need a case study based on the scenario attached in the file. I need the case study to focus more on the Hospital’s Administrative operations, including Advance directives, ethics committee decision-making, physician and medical director decision-making, early pregnancy, and Leadership and Organizational theory. This case study can be completely fictitious based upon this scenario —-
In this case study, a hospital in a suburban neighborhood near New York will be used as the setting. The emergency room will be the main part of the setting. A deep financial crisis has engulfed the husband due to his unemployment. The husband visits his pregnant wife (4 weeks) in the hospital every day through public transportation. While his wife is on life support, he hopes to end her suffering. Physicians and the hospital are in a difficult moral and ethical situation. This case study will address the hierarchy of decision-making between the patient, doctor, family, and the hospital. the case study must emphasize the importance of the Hospital’s role in their medical professional decision-making and organizational leadership skills (input advance directive as well) It will be taken into account every aspect of ethical ideology to allow the husband to terminate life support and remove the feeding tube from his wife against her will since she is in a vegetative state as a result of suffering a heart attack. (relate and discuss autonomy beneficence nonmaleficence and justice) Autonomy involves having complete control over a situation and being able to make a decision. Considering that the wife is non-responsive and in a vegetative state, the husband wants to end life support, but the physician is opposed to this decision and an ethics committee is called in.
