Each student will write an open letter to one of the following stakeholder groups: [1] The National Collegiate Athletic Association; [2] Power Five Conference Commissioners; [3] College Presidents; [4] High School Students Who Are Prospective College Student-Athletes; [5] Parents of High School Students Who Are Prospective College Student-Athletes; [6] Current Student-Athletes at Community Colleges; [7] Current Student-Athletes at Big-Time Sports Programs at Universities; [8] Coaches; [9] Athletics Directors; and [10] Academic Advisors in Athletics Departments. The letter should be 800-1000 words and must include research-based perspectives and arguments. These letters can be organized around a single topic [e.g., improving gender equity] or some combination of topics covered throughout the semester.
