Debate grades will be based upon the submitted paper (10 points) and the debate report card(5 points). The facts must be correct and the argument must be logical. You will not be graded on your debate speaking style or whether or not you convinced people to change their minds.1. Debate topics and teams will be decided at random.2. There is no swapping of topics or teams.3. Your position on a topic (PRO or CON) also will be determined randomly (no swapping). 4. All teams must prepare their arguments to be given in the following order: Introduction and Development of your Position (focus on the key aspects of the topic); Rebuttal of the Opposing Teams Position; Summary & Conclusions. Teams will alternate between each of the three segments. Team members can share any of the segments (e.g. each talk for one minute or one person talk for 2 minutes in one segment and the other do a different segment).
