General Introduction: For this assignment, you will be writing a short essay of 750-1250 words in which you will use Campbell’s notion of the monomyth to interpret a hero myth from the assigned readings/videos. Within your paper, you will want to demonstrate where the stages of the monomyth appear within the story and how they can be interpreted according to Campbells understanding of those stages. Not every story will have every stage, so feel free to focus on the main elements of the monomyth that work within the story you choose.
