Your play must have conflict and resolution.
You may provide some details of setting and some stage direction, but 90% (at least) of your play will be in dialogue. Be sure to review the bullet list on pages 336-338 for guidance on how to make dialogue really work.
When you have completed your play, read the dialogue out loud. Allowing a reasonable time for actions to take place in addition to the dialogue, your play should take 9-10 minutes to read. You will need to write about 1200 words of dialogue to meet the time requirement for the play.
