The final project consists of a research paper (2000 – 2500 words) on one of the following subjects:
Social protests in Latin America.
Contemporary magic and religious practice in Latin America.
Migration in Latin America.
This research paper requires external sources and a thorough discussion of the course materials. Students are also encouraged to be creative, so dont hesitate to think out of the box. Keep in mind that this paper should include 1) an original thesis and 2) a discussion about how this paper contributes to ongoing debates in Latin American Studies.
