In this discussion, we will conduct a class overview of various real-life company merger; using this module’s lessons, you will share thoughts on how the deal went well (or did not go well) for the parties involved. What can we learn from these examples? What could the companies have done differently to avoid problems?

To get started, conduct a simple internet search to find an example of a recent merger or acquisition (within the last 15 years). Limit your search to large and medium-sized companies. Once you have found an example, go to the Shapiro Library to find a scholarly article referencing the deal.
