You are required to research and communicate information on two Big Ideas in Number that is of interest to you and important to your teaching in Middle School (years 5 9). Once the Big Ideas have been identified, you will need to research them and report on them. Include in your report an overview of the Big Ideas chosen, the difficulties students encounter and the misconceptions and errors they exhibit. Within the report, you are also required to research and report possible methods of assessment that may expose students thinking and misconceptions they may possess. Relevant references, including up to six recent research articles (since 2015) from educational journals/research publications or reliable online sources, must be used.
