Journal Article Post Conference Presentation

Each student will be required to read and report on one journal article during this course. The article may be on any of the topics that are covered in AMS. Each clinical instructor will provide specifics on the topics and plan for presentation.

The article that is read must be at least two pages in length. The journal chose must be a nursing journal such as RN, Nursing 2022, American Journal of Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, etc. The article must not come from a medical journal or a newspaper and must be current (within two years of today).

The article summary must be typed and submitted in a folder to your clinical instructor. It must be submitted as a hard copy and may not be sent to your clinical instructor electronically. No loose papers will be accepted. The summary of the article must include the reference: including the name of the article, author, and name of the journal, volume, and page number. A copy of the article must be attached to the summary. The summary of the article must be only one page in length and the presentation in post-conference should not take longer than 15 minutes.

Students will present the summary of the article read to their clinical group orally on assigned dates. Students will sign-up during the first post-conference. The presentation will be graded by the clinical instructor following the grading rubric.

Students who sign up for a specific day and are not ready to present on the assigned day must still make a presentation date and time to be determined by the clinical instructor. Points will be deducted for late presentations.
