Purpose: Irenaeus is a great champion. He answers criticisms and distortions that threaten the early church. He articulates an understanding of the Bible as a unity with one great unfolding story. On the Apostolic Preaching is his concise and direct exposition of that basic biblical story. It holds many treasures as well as giving us the big picture. In this disussion forum, you will use this text as a basis for answering questions regarding faith, baptism, salvation, and the Trinity.
