Is social welfare a “poverty trap” or a “safety net”?

Submit a reflective essay addressing the microeconomic or macroeconomic policy question you selected during Week 2.
Guidelines:
Your 1500 word (at least) essay is to be reflective (based upon your own opinion) but supported by information from lectures, textbook readings and outside research. Your outside research is to be from national newspapers (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post) and academic journals and you should use the AU librarys online databases to find these sources.
