A well-written introduction section will:
be 1.5-2 pages in length
follow MLA format
headers
heading
centered, descriptive title
12 pt TNR font
be double-spaced
avoid unnecessary spacing between paragraphs
indent paragraphs
follow the classic model introduction organization
begin with an exordium (attention getter)
have an adequate narratio (background)
end with the thesis statement (ID original author, society, evolutionary forces changing the myth)
thesis statement should be bolded
