Interest groups are a highly significant part of American politics. For this assignment, you will research and discuss three interest groups of your choice. See Project VoteSmart’s directory of interest groups for lots of groups, organized by issue area. (https://justfacts.votesmart.org/interest-groups)

For each of the three groups you have selected, identify and discuss their core political beliefs. What kinds of policy goals do these groups want to achieve? How successful have these groups been in accomplishing their goals? What kinds of benefits to these groups offer to recruit and retain members? Do these groups appear to represent the interests of a majority of the American people, or a more specific, narrow interest?
