This assignment asks you to address Gandhi, the man with all his personality traits, and not Gandhi, the myth of a man as saint. In this assignment, you are required to make a critical assessment of Gandhi’s portrait of himself, as presented in his work, An Autobiography Or the Story of My Experiments with Truth. For example, when Gandhi talks about liberation, does he include women in his discussions? What are his thoughts on race (e.g., South African experience)? Who did he want to liberate? What can be said of his non-violence movement as a whole?
