Paper should include:
Background of the disorder, including how it affects the general physiology (e.g., if it was aphasia, what happens to the brain, what part of the brain is affected)
Impacts on speech, language, voicing, feeding, swallowing, and/or cognition. Note: not all disorders impact all domains, but be sure to include the domains it does affect.
Note: If a disorder affects a domain of communication/swallowing, please describe HOW it affects that domain. For example, a stroke may affect swallowing or language. The paper should identify what ways those domains are affected (e.g., difficulty with word finding, poor airway protection), rather than a list of definitions.
Length/Formatting:
The paper will be 4-5 pages, following APA formatting. You WILL be graded on the accurate APA citations and format.
You must provide a reference page for the assignment (with a minimum of four peer-reviewed, academic sources). Both throughout the paper and on the reference page, you must utilize APA format.

Additionally, there are citation servers, such as Mendeley that can be used for assistance, but please double-check that these are correct before submitting.
