Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “The Raven” is one of those pieces of literature that are widely quoted even by people who have never read them. For this discussion, I want you to consider quotations that you use in conversation that you do not know the origins of or quotations that you used so often that you looked them up. If you do not use a quotation yourself, have you heard a quotation that you thought was important but did not know its origins?
This discussion answer will probably be a little short, as basically I am asking you to share a quotation. To flesh it out a little, tell the context in which you hear the quotation and the frequency with which you quote literature or hear it quoted. As you read more and more canonical literature (literature considered important), do you notice more quoted material as you go through life? Your answer should be 100-150 words.
