There are several frameworks that can be used for your process improvement project design, such as PDSA Cycles, (Plan, Do, Study, Act), The Lean System Approach, Six Sigma Model, IOWA Model, etc. You will write a paper following the criteria below:
1. Describe the setting where the problem exists.
2. Identify the patient population involved (subjects) and specify the number of patients selected to try the comparison and intervention (sample).
3. Identify the framework (PDSA, Lean System Approach, Six Sigma Model, IOWA Model, etc..) that will inform your analysis and describe how it will be applied.
4. Specify the data points you are collecting and how you are collecting them (variables and measures).
5. Explain how you plan to analyze the data (statistics).
6. Discuss the instruments used to obtain your data points and the reliability, validity, and precision of those instruments.
