1st topic: What are the two conceptions of human rights that Beitz considers and how do they differ? Which approach does he defend and why?
2nd topic: Benhabibs approach to global justice begins both descriptively and normatively from the position that the other is not elsewhere. How does Benhabib reconcile normative universality (democratic equality; universal human rights) with democratic plurality and difference?
