How do non-traditional college students describe the influence of commitment in persistence to degree completion?

Problem Space Need: Future studies need to be conducted to describe the psychosocial influences of persistence to degree completion.
Problem Statement: It is not known how nontraditional college students describe the influence of academic integration and commitment for persistence to degree completion.
Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this qualitative descriptive study is to explore how nontraditional college students describe the influence of academic integration and commitment for persistence to degree completion at universities in the United States.
Phenomenon: The phenomenon being observed is how non-raditional college students describe the influence of the need for academic integration and commitment for persistence to degree completion.
Research Questions: RQ1 – How do non-traditional college students describe the influence of academic integration in persistence to degree completion?

RQ2- How do non-traditional college students describe the influence of commitment in persistence to degree completion?
Methodology/Research Design: This qualitative study will use focus groups and interviews to describe nontraditional student persistence to degree completion.
