This is a reflective essay in the subject of nursing. The topic is the role of nurses in health policy and advocacy. This paper will be graded on Appendix D that I have attached as “N402L_Appendix D.docx.” I need 3 references and they must be only peer-reviewed/evidence based articles. The format is APA 7th edition. I requested 4 pages. 3 of the pages/750 words will be the actual reflection itself. I am registered nurse currently working in an acute care hospital so the reflection will be based on that as well. 80% of the reflection must focus on nursing. The other 1 page will be a letter to a policymaker, however this one must be singled spaced. I am based in Los Angeles, California, so the health policy and advocacy issues will be from Los Angeles/California and addressed to California policymakers as well.

Beginning with the community assessment, students will encounter health policy and advocacy issues and begin communicating with their policymakers early in the semester to receive a timely response. The reflection uses Appendix D with two (2) required appendices. Appendix A is a copy of the letter to the policymaker; this is a one-page, single-spaced, and professionally formatted (CANVAS offers templates for addressing policymakers/legislators). Appendix B is a screenshot of email or other proof of communication to the policymaker. These
appendices must be cited within the narrative. Relate content to Week s# 10 & 11 in 402. “
