B. GROUP THERAPY AND JOHARI WINDOW
The four quadrants of the Johari window are an important facet of group work. A group can provide individual participants with extremely helpful feedback from new perspectives, especially in the Blind quadrant. Feedback can address an area that’s appreciated or an area of challenge. Very often, counselors in training are resistant to giving feedback on areas of challenge, for fear of hurting feelings or sounding offensive.
1. Explain why a counselor should be comfortable in providing and accepting this kind of feedback to members of group?
