An alternative to reading the Frankl book to complete this assignment is to watch BBC: Inside Einsteins Mind (Links to an external site.) [YouTube] (BBC: Inside Einstein’s Mind Transcript) (Links to an external site.) and discuss the following:
1. Before you may begin work on the alternate assignment, you must have received faculty approval via email, prior to the end of Week 1.
2. Discuss a brief overview of general relativity theory. What did Einstein prove, and how was this proved? What did this discovery mean for science?
3. Describe how theorists in any discipline conceive of their ideas.
4. Discuss the relevance of and need for theory to nursing knowledge development and advanced practice. Provide examples of nursing theorists and their work. Integrate course literature.
5. How are hard science theories like physics similar to nursing theory? How are they different?
6. End with your personal thoughts on the video and the importance of theory.
