Field Investigations: Final Portfolio of Delta Airlines Flight 191

This will be a Portfolio style project, consisting of four (4) SECTION of an aircraft accident Field Investigation: 1) Human Factors, 2) Structural and Fire, 3) Aircraft Systems, 4) Survival Factors and Crashworthiness.

*** Within each SECTION, at least one artifact must be demonstrated to articulate the topic with correlation to the Aircraft accident of Delta flight 191, August of 1985 and how these 4 sections are used in an aircraft accident investigation.

An image displaying Examples of different types of artifacts that can be used for each SECTION, are attached in the files section. /// The 3 main methods of artifacts I'd like to use are: 1) INDUSTRY PERCEPTIONS: (evidence -based perceptions of the topic) 2) ACCIDENT ANALYSIS: (summary of the delta 191 accident, specific to the SECTION, accident circumstances, preliminary accident findings, and recommendations specific to the SECTION ONLY) 3) PHOTO EVIDENCE: (captured photo-evidence of aproximently 10 photos with detailed notes of each photo) /// PLEASE USE ANY OF THESE 3 ARTIFACTS IN ANY ORDER YOU'D LIKE FOR ALL 4 SECTIONS // ** IMPORTANT: ONLY 1 ARTIFACT METHOD IS NEEDED PER SECTION, THE CHOICE OF AERTIFACT STYLE CAN BE YOURS (the writer) AS LONG AS THE 3 ARTIFACTS ARE USED WITHIN THE 4 SECTIONS. ***
NOTE: AN ARTIFACT METHOD OF CHOICE MY BE USED MORE THAN ONCE DUE TO THE FACT THERE ARE 4 SECTIONS AND ONLY 3 ARTIFACT CHOICES. ///

NOTE: THE TYPED PAGES WITHIN THE 4 SECTIONS CAN INCLUDE RICH TEXT CONTENT & OR HTML/EMBEDDED CONTENT /// IMPORTANT: PLEASE USE REAL IMAGES OF THE AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT AND OTHER SUPPORTING IMIAGING AS NECESSARY.*** ///

IMPORTANT: (please format sections in this order) SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION *1 page* ( discuss evidence based perceptions of impact to aviation industry, NTSB and FAA – aircraft accident roles, responsibilities and investigation descriptions and procedures, and background on delta flight 191), SECTION 1 *2 pages* : HUMAN FACTORS: (within the aviation industry, aircraft accidents and Delta flight 191), SECTION 2 *2 pages* : STRUCTURAL and FIRE ( pertaining to aircraft accident investigations, NTSB roles and regarding Delta flight 191), SECTION 3 *2 pages *: AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS (processes and investigation techniques to determine systems component failure / defect within NTSB duties and pertaining to Delta 191) SECTION 4: SURVIVAL FACTORS and CRASH WORTHINESS *2 pages* : (research and discuss variables specific to occupant survival , aircraft crashworthiness, and effectiveness of emergency response within the aviation industry and discuss the same correlations regarding Delta 191) SECTION 5: CONCLUSION * 1 page* (Summary of delta 191, lessons learned and closing statement regarding effective aircraft accident investigations).
