Explain why Peter Singer argues that spending money on luxuries is fundamentally immoral. Critically analyze this position from the perspective of at least one other thinker from the first half of our course.
Some of the other “thinker’s” are Plato and the Myth of Gyges, Aristotle’s Virtue Ethics, John Stuart Mill’s Utilitarianism, David Hume’s Sentimentalism, Kant’s Categorical Imperative, Nietzsche’s Master and Slave Morality, and Lindemann’s Feminist Ethics. I can provide reading material for each of these depending on which one you pick to compare to the topic. Attached is Peter Singer’s reading material. Please let me know if you have any questions.
