This week you will submit the final version of the final written report. Contents required in the Report: Introduction & Context: Present a clear picture of the context of your interview – the name of the company, location of the company, who you interviewed (position in the organization), when you interviewed, duration of the interview, how did you interview – face to face or otherwise? Also, include any reason(s) why you chose this company. (Approx. 1 page) Interview Summary: Present a summary of the information gathered from the interview. (Approx. 1 page) Describe the organizational problem that emerged through your interview & research. Explain the organizational problem that you will focus on for your recommended OD strategies. Needs Assessment and Diagnosis: Identify the information that you will need to further assess the organizational problem. How will you collect the data? How will you assess the data? (Approx. 1 page). Proposed OD Intervention/Strategy: Based on your interview and research, what intervention do you recommend for the organization to address the identified organizational problem. Justify your recommendations. Recommendations should follow the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Based) Goals framework (Approx. 3 pages) Explain the technical and psychological aspects of the intervention/strategy. Identify the issues, process, theories, and business outcomes of the intervention/strategy. Suggested Evaluation Approach for the proposed interventions/strategy. Who do you need to ask? How will you ask? What will you ask? What do you need to measure? How will you collect the necessary information and analyze it? Summary and Conclusion (Approx. 1 page) References The paper must be written in APA formatting and be approximately 7-8 pages. The page length does not include the title page and references. What needs to change? Why? The internal consultants need to be more adaptable to traveling to the client’s locations for training and development workshops. The fear of being exposed to a virus or the flu is very real. Unfortunately, these conditions are not going to be reduced by a significant amount that will be improved with time. What are the perceived benefits of the change? What are the perceived disadvantages of the change? The perceived benefit of this change is that many times, it is much easier to build rapport and trust with a client if you can meet in person. So, convincing the current internal consultants that the benefits are significant may be challenging. The disadvantage may be that the consultant becomes ill with COVID after conducting a workshop at a client’s location. This could cause others within the organization to become ill. This may be very costly if multiple people are out sick because of exposure to the virus. How does the company and/or work unit handle change? The company would honor the concerns of a consultant that did not feel comfortable traveling to a client’s location. Any workshop that this consultant was to perform would have to be completed remotely with Zoom or Teams. Or another consultant would have to substitute the original consultant to conduct the workshop.
