Analyze the source and summarize its merits and flaws. That means to evaluate how well its thesis/claim is supported by the provided evidence and if there are any limitations, flaws (biases). Keep in mind, no work is perfect!.
For primary sources: Analyze the authorship, motive, and credibility(is there any obvious bias) of the source; its targeted audience; Explain how it will assist your research; explain if the current interpretations of the source in historiography differ from your own understanding of its meaning.
