Examine the implications of electronic commerce and speculate on whether the government should be wary in relying on it. Explain why or why not. Then present an argument that addresses how the concerns of e-commerce are paired against those of a corporation.
We live in a world that is increasingly challenged by technology and how everything is predominately controlled with it in some shape or form. E-commerce is fundamentally World Wide Web-based buying and selling of goods and services. Most people see it as the ultimate form of removing the intermediary or go-between (also known as disintermediation).
Government and industry must work together on encryption, resolving not only the power of the tools themselves but government access to keys necessary to decipher encrypted information. By working together with government agencies, the industry can influence the type of safeguards that are put into practice. If there is resistance to cooperation with government agencies and the incident of fraud, crime and privacy continues to rise, legislative and other political solutions will be potentially more rigid.
There are many cases that can be argued over this case. 1. Job loss from the government preferring to use a computer over a real person, that can monitor and catch errors or fix it in the event of a crash. 2. Its more open to a data breach or could be affected with malware that other countries could
