Doctoral Dialogue 5 – Change Management Communicating, Monitoring and Evaluating
Purpose
This assignment will help you learn to discuss communication, evaluation, monitoring, and assessment of change management plan(s).
Synopsis
In this assignment, you will reflect on change management experiences you have engaged in either as a leader or as a follower with a focus on communication, evaluation, and monitoring practices. Optionally, you can reflect on change management in general. From the perspective of your reflection, you will explain the essential items to consider in effective change management communication, evaluation, and monitoring practices.
The purpose of doctoral dialogue is to broaden ideas, not to diminish them. Doctoral Dialogues are about learning and exploring a variety of viewpoints by constructively engaging your peers, thus resulting in a richer, broader, and deeper pool of knowledge. The dialogue requires that you undertake your own thorough research and develop knowledge on the change management situation under consideration before you share with your peers for the dialogue to be productive.
For this dialogue, as well as others, you must support your work (arguments and contributions) with sound scholarly/academic sources, data, and verifiable best practices. Based on those sound sources, you should be able to present and draw conclusions, provide and receive constructive feedback, and make adjustments and revisions.
Your peers will read, critique, and provide their insights and feedback about your posts, and challenge your assumptions and thinking, including what you might have missed, and suggest improvements. It is vital that your postings to peers provide a high degree of depth and breadth that expands on change management course concepts and their application.
You will address your peers insights and feedback in a follow-up post explaining whether you agree or disagree with their feedback and your justification. It is important that you focus on justification/recommendations that facilitate digging deeper in depth and breadth for the dialogue.
