You may choose any topic to prepare the essay, ensuring this topic is different from that chosen for your Midterm Assessment. Examples of possible topics may be:
• Ethics in an Information Society
• What is big data? What are its main business applications?
• GDPR: challenges and opportunities for businesses.
Section 1:
Discuss the main functionalities of the chosen system (TPS, CRM/SCM KMS etc.) in the business environment,
Section 2:
Elaborate on the benefits of the chosen system and the reasons why a company would implement such a system.
Section 3:
Now provide an example of a company who has implemented your chosen system and explain how this system changed their life for the better. Please choose a different company from that chosen for your Midterm Assessment.
Make sure to include a clear introduction and conclusion section.
Develop a concise understanding of the importance of information technology in today’s enterprises.

Further details about the topics are available from the course outline and the suggested readings. The assignment should include a title page (indicating the total word-count), should be no more than 2000- 2500 words and should include references from peer- reviewed sources (i.e. books and academic Journals) formatted using the Harvard referencing style. The assignment should discuss the key concepts of MIS learned in the module from week 1 to 11 using examples from popular media (i.e. newspapers, magazines, blogs, etc.) and academic sources.
