Discuss the key aspects of each of the steps and whether you believe it must be strictly sequential or if there is flexibility to revisit previous steps.

Please answer the following three questions.

1) Jane is regularly evaluated using anonymous data collected using Zenger & Folkman 360 assessments as among the best leaders in her organization. She is often surprised at receiving high marks in technical expertise. She rarely uses social media and calls the tech support people at least monthly. According to Zenger & Folkman, what is a potential explanation?

2) You are the Chief Talent Officer of a large multi-national retail company. You have learned about the importance of leadership development and proposed to your Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to develop a leadership development program within your company. This will be a significant addition to your annual budget for next year and the CFO has expressed concerns about the financial cost of such a program as compared with its financial benefit. Your CEO has said that the cost of the company’s recent acquisition of another company in addition to the recent financial strain due to COVID has caused her to rethink resource allocation in terms of the financial cost and benefit. They both have told you that they are most interested in hearing your financial rationale for spending any money on leadership development. Based on your readings in Zenger & Folkman, write a short response with the information supporting your position that there is a financial return on investment of time and money in leadership development that is responsive to the concerns expressed by CFO and CEO.

3) The FUEL coaching model is presented as a sequential process – from Frame, to Understand, to Explore, to Layout a success plan. Discuss the key aspects of each of the steps and whether you believe it must be strictly sequential or if there is flexibility to revisit previous steps. For example, if a coach is in the Explore step of the conversation, could the coach ask questions about the present situation to clarify, get more detail, and ensure there is mutual agreement on the shared understanding of the present situation faced by the client? Regardless of your position, explain why you are taking your position.
