Discuss a scene in the film (different than the one you picked on the discussion board, briefly research how the special effects were done. Describe the scene and the effectiveness of the special effects. Do special effects help with the narrative of the film or they just presented to captivate the viewer? Do these effects represent a character? what are those character traits? Or a location /production design? Could effects been done another way and be as effective? For example, if the effect is CGI would it have worked as stop motion, model animation, makeups, rear screen projection or forced perspective? Do you think special effects in certain films should be updated as technology changes? (Think about George Lucas updating Star Wars)
