Virtual” Museum Visit
or “in-person” Museum Visit
Go to the museum’s website and look up information about the museum and its collection. Use some of this information in part of your description.
Describe what your virtual visit was like, how you selected the museum, what your impressions were, how was the museum’s web site designed, etc.
During your virtual visit, find a work of art that interests you and write about it. Describe the work in detail including how it was made and in what medium. Describe what you like about it. Describe what you don’t like about it (this is just as valid). Answer how you were able to discover the work? Did you know about it beforehand, or did you come upon it by browsing through the museum’s web site?
Or, if you go in-person to the museum, describe what the experience was like getting to the museum travelling there, parking, and walking and going inside and finding the artwork that impressed you the most.
Look up the artist and research the artist’s background and what has been written about the artist and the artist’s work. This is the research information that you will cite as a work cited on the “Works Cited” last page of your paper. More than one research citation is required.
Format all this into a five-page MLA format narrative essay of 1500 words or more about the artist you discovered. Below there is an essay submission link for uploading your essay (double spaced 12 point Timcixes New Roman MLA Format).
