This will require you to gather historical sources (Eric documents, JSTOR, etc.) to develop your case with many sources. Please use APA 6th or 7th Edition as you write and cite sources. In addition, please use single-spacing as you write your responses. The response should average eight to ten pages (excluding references).
Question #1: The 1950s educational movement profoundly impacted the transition from a progressive-based philosophy to an accountability-based educational system. Describe the evolution of the Dewey-Progressive philosophys impact on education as a whole (to include elementary initiatives) concerning conservative voices. As you begin your response, please consider the following: a) early progressive movements influential scholars and agendas, b) the perceived strength and weaknesses associated with progressive education after WWII, c) the conservative backlash and concerns with progressive ideals and education to the Soviet threat, and d) how elementary education evolved post-1950s.

Incorporate such information but go beyond this such as the History of Social Studies Education Class, etc. Theorists identified from course materials and readings research the authors for additional information, theories, beliefs, published works, etc. This will build a substantial literature review.
