You will be required to develop a 5-6 page report describing the history of the selected pandemic. The page limit does not include references, figures, tables, or graphs. You will also be asked to present their key findings in a short Powerpoint presentation to be posted as a separate file upload.

Description of pandemic selected
What is the disease and what is it caused by?
How is it transmitted?
Describe its epidemiology, in order words, what is currently known about the pandemic
How many people were infected, how people lost their lives, which populations were affected
Public health response
Describe action steps take to address the pandemic (e.g., handwashing, vaccine, masks, etc.)
Describe the potential role of 2-3 social determinants of health
Define the social determinants and explain their potential role(s) clearly
Lessons learned (requires your teams collective brain)
What did public health and other officials do wrong that we can learn from?
