a. Define the criteria used for evidence of evaluating effectiveness. This is the basis for the evaluation of the policy/position statement/problem question.

II. Evidence (scholarly studies) that specifically:

a. Address the criteria of focus and demonstrate that the policy is supportable when evaluated according to the criteria.

b. Provide sufficient detail of the evidence from at least two sources to be able to determine the level of evidence and critically determine its applicability to the position. If you do not find any evidence supporting the question for this criteria are there parallels applicable (studies from other issues that might apply)?

III. Recommendation

a. As a result of the evidence should the policy be adopted as originally presented?

b. Are there specific strengths and/or weaknesses of the policy as stated as recommendations?

c. Should the policy be modified or should other options be considered?
