Guidelines for Evidence Based Practice Assignment

Purpose
Develop an understanding of current Evidence Based Practice (EBP) within the nursing profession while implementing the use of APA format and identifying scholarly journal articles.

Students will write a 2-3 (two to three) page paper based on the instructions below. APA format must be utilized throughout the document. Please refer to the NURS 1123 calendar for date due. The EBP Assignment will be due by 2300 on the on the date due. Papers should be uploaded utilizing the file name assigned below. Refer to syllabus for penalty of turning in past the due date and time.

Objectives
1. Identify a current evidence-based practice focus in nursing.
2. Define evidence-based practice as it relates to nursing and the nursing process.
3. Explain the importance of the assigned evidence-based topic.
4. Describe how the evidence-based practice topic is currently being implemented in the clinical setting
5. Describe barriers related to the implementation of the current evidence-based practice topic into the clinical setting
6. Correlate the importance, implementation, and barriers of the evidence-based practice topic utilizing scholarly journals.
7. Utilize appropriate APA formatting through the length of the document.
