For this project, you will be asked to produce a review on any topic or subject you choose; the only stipulation is that it must be something you could, reasonably review via first hand experience. You may decide to review a book, film, a piece of technology, or even an experience such as a meal at a restaurant or a day at a particular lake. The subject is up to you, but your review will need to be detailed, persuasive, and should look past simple judgement calls such as good/bad and ensure that your claims about your subject are well supported by the selection of, and assessment by, appropriate criteria or evaluation. Your use of criteria should be logical, detailed, and effective in persuading your reader that you are offering a balanced, appropriate and effective critique of the subject.
Clearly identify, describe and provide background info on the subject
Define and evaluate the subject using appropriate criteria
Provide detailed analysis of the subject in relation to those criteria
Persuade readers that you are offering an effective and considered evaluation of the subject
Use and effective organizational and structure and tone appropriate to the review’s audience, purpose, and content.
