You are required to explain the purpose of your research (Why?), ethical considerations, and when you will make your observations.

Also, the behaviors being studied (What?). You may want to focus on one activity, such as meal preparation for a family, pre-game activity for a football game, or a religious ritual. It is up to you.

Whatever you choose it must be legal for you to do. You may have to get permission ahead of time to make your observations if it involves private/restricted environments and/or vulnerable groups (e.g. children, seniors, inmates).
