The midterm exam is comprised of two essay questions.
It is timed. You will have 90 minutes.
You will not be able to “copy and paste” answers. The questions ask for an application and synthesis of information. You will be required to provide an application and synthesis of information. Each question requires that your answer be expressed “in detail.
You are allowed a maximum of 20% properly documented quotes and paraphrasing.
The purpose of the exam is to demonstrate your understanding and your comprehension of the course materials.
I will give you the four very broad areas that will be on the exam. You will need to focus your studies on EVERYTHING the course has to say about these topics:
Justice
Ethics versus Morals
Police Crime versus Police Corruption
Ethical standards for criminal justice professionals.
Be able to define all relevant concepts, give examples, and apply each.
